Riverstone Art

This is some of our riverstone art. We have been learning to use Indian Ink and Dye to create a sence of the Manawatu river.
First, we had to draw how we wanted our sence to be layed out. We could include plants, trees, rocks, and also the sun and some hills.
After we had layed out our sence we used Indian Ink to fill inbetween the rocks that we drew, and we also drawed white pastel lines in our river. This would be for when we dyed our river, it would show up the lines that we wanted in our water without having to do it afterwards.
Next we dyed our river with greens, blues and purples to make an effective river, and one everything had dried we shaded the rocks with pencil. We had to decide which direction the sun would come from, and we had to make it darker around those areas of the stone without direct sunlight.
